Wow, I haven’t checked over there in forever. I didn’t even know they were in trouble (again).
Wow. I had no idea. I rarely go over there any more. I guess I’ll have to reach out to my MDD friends.
I was wondering why I could not get in to read the diaries, how could this happen?
@Dippity - @Gneiss_Guy - @Tyche - @Haggadar - @Fyresetter02169 - I got an email from someone I had followed over there (Jem – Wishbone Chronicles) telling me that the site seems to have said its final goodbye and that he is now writing at opendiary.com. That’s a shame, because he has a Xanga blog. I guess he just doesn’t like us. Anyway, it is kind of sad because every once in a while I went over there to read some of my old favs that were still there. Maybe we’ll see a new influx here. And they’ll join the blogrings “MDDers” and “Don’t I know you from somewhere?”

Solo was here at xanga for a while. She said it just wasn’t a good fit for her so she returned to MDD. I forget what name she used but it was somehow Solo turned upside down or backwards or maybe a combination of both, resulting in a name in numbers.
WhiteLight changed her MDD name to sonmthing or other Lily. And last I heard she and Dave (aka Number9 aka MaxwellEdison) were engaged in real life. That was a couple of years back. Tia (TLS ) told me about the enggement.
I wish NightListener would begin writing at xanga. He opened an account here about the same time the rest of us migrated over here, but he didn’t take to xanga. But every now and again he will breeze by my xanga site and say hello and leave me some kind and often witty comments. I miss him the most from MDD. He was the only reason I ever went over to MDD to read and comment.
Anyway, I’m glad I printed out all my entries from MDD. And I’m especially glad most of my MDD friends are here at xanga.
SherylM, I’m so happy you and I are still buddies. I think the world of you.

@TNuts - I remember that Solo changed her name because she was worried someone might connect her with her patients by the way she was describing them, but I couldn’t remember what she changed it to. There was also a guy there, I can’t remember his name, but he had AIDS. I often wonder what happened to him. OMG there are so many there that I often wonder what happened. I did hear about WhiteLight and Dave’s engagement. I wasn’t surprised. He wasn’t happy in his marriage and the two of them seemed to really understand each other on a very deep level. I used to read NightListener, but he became so prolific, and long-winded that I stopped reading him. About the only really long-winded people here that I read regularly are Ex Libris and Tyche. I guess my short attention span is what makes Facebook work so well for me. I spend most of my time there. I’m glad we’re still buddies, too. Hard to imagine that we’ve known each other over ten years, starting with MDD. I remember seeing “Childless By Choice” and knew I had to go read that person because I, too, was childless by choice. I’m so glad I did!
What about the scariest reindeer of all- Wishbone???
